 Lead Hazard Awareness Seminar DVD!

The Seminar is an overview and a summary of property owner’s responsibilities with regard to lead regulation in Rhode Island.  This presentation is a public service created by the collaborative efforts of the Childhood Lead Action Project, Corporate Film & Video Productions and Rhode Island Lead Technicians, Inc. Segment 1 will focus on the importance of lead poisoning to the health of Rhode Islanders. Segment 2 presents existing lead laws, regulations and most importantly, the Lead Hazard Mitigation Act.  Finally, Segment 3 will provide information about safely preparing properties for a lead inspection.

After viewing each segment, property owners will have the opportunity to take an online quiz testing them on the information presented in the DVD.  In order to access the quizzes participants must register online.  After all three quizzes are completed property owners can obtain certificates allowing them to comply with the Lead Hazard Mitigation Act.  This certification, which will be sent out via email, is equivalent to the document received upon completion of the three-hour lead hazard mitigation course.  This is a great opportunity for property owners and others interested in the hazards of lead paint to learn more about the subject.  Please don’t miss this exciting and informative series.

Now you can take the Lead Hazard Awareness Seminar and fulfill the certification requirements from your own home and complete the following steps:

1. Watch all segments in their entirety.

2. Register online and complete the quiz on each segment.

3. Register for the course completion certificate, so you have proof that you completed the course.

4. Present the certificate to the lead inspector at the inspection.

What is the Lead Hazard Awareness Seminar?
