
The 3 hour Lead Hazard Mitigation Seminar provides property owners with information on how to control lead hazards in rental units. The Lead Hazard Mitigation Act requires most owners of pre-1978 rental property to take this class. Now Avaliable Online Anytime! We are in the process of making the 2010 schedule. Class Schedule and Details If a class below is not listed as "full" you can assume that registration is still open and mail in your registration form. If the class has filled before we receive your form, we will contact you and make every effort to enroll you in another class. Please be aware that only those registered for a class will be admitted. No walk-ins are allowed, and you must arrive on time to be eligible to receive a completion certificate. We limit class size so participants have the opportunity to ask questions and have a quality experience. Please note: A $15 fee will be added to all returned checks. Replacement Certificates As of February 1, 2008 there is a $15 replacement fee for Certificates of Completion for both the 3 and 8 hour classes. We accept credit cards and checks made payable to the Childhood Lead Action Project. Cancellation Policy We reserve the right to cancel classes due to insufficient registration or inclement weather. To advise us of a cancelation call Liz Colón (401) 785-1310x 208 or email liz at leadsafekids.org IF WE CANCEL: You can request a full refund in writing up to 30 days after the date of the class, or take another 3-hour class (within 60 days of the date of the cancelled class) at no additional cost. IF YOU CANCEL: If you cannot make your class and you give us 24 hours notice you can register for another 3-hour class (within 60 days of the date of the cancelled class) at no additional cost. If you cannot make your class and you give us less than 24 hours notice or fail to show for the class, you forfeit your class fee. No refunds will be issued in the event of your cancellation. Inclement Weather In the event of bad weather, watch, listen or log on for cancellation notices at the location of class to be held. For example: If the class is to be held at Gibbs College and they are closing do to bad weather, we will not hold our class. If no cancellation is mentioned you can assume the class is still running.
